The Center for Wooden Boats is expanding to the Eastside! In summer of 2016, we'll be offering Beginning Sailing summer camps for kids aged 8-14 at Newcastle Beach and Medina Beach. In this introduction to sailing, new sailors learn basic theory and terminology to build a foundation of skills. Learn and practice tacking, jibing, sail trim, weight balance and capsize recovery, as well as teamwork, communication, observation and patience. Youth sail in teams of two in our 8′ El Toros.
